Crisis management is a crucial aspect of mental health care, focusing on identifying warning signs, providing emotional support, and ensuring individuals receive the necessary intervention to stay safe. It involves assessing risk factors, offering crisis intervention strategies, and helping individuals build coping mechanisms to manage distressing thoughts and emotions.
Why We Do Not Handle Crisis Situations Directly
Immediate Medical Attention is Required – Crisis situations often necessitate urgent intervention, hospitalization, or medical supervision, which can only be provided by crisis response teams, emergency services, or psychiatric facilities.
Legal & Ethical Boundaries – As per the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (India), individuals experiencing severe distress require structured, in-person assessments and interventions by designated mental health professionals or institutions, which teletherapy or non-crisis therapy services cannot ethically or legally provide.
Safety & Crisis Management Protocols – High-risk individuals may require 24/7 monitoring, inpatient care, or emergency psychiatric intervention, which falls outside the scope of outpatient therapy services.
Where to Seek Immediate Help: If you or someone you know is experiencing an acute crisis or emotional distress, please reach out to emergency services, helplines, or crisis intervention centers that can provide immediate, life-saving support.
